Day Trip Valencia

Bioparc in the Centre of Valencia City

Tuesday 10th October 2017

The Valencia Bioparc is split into three main sections, African Savannah, Equatorial Africa and Madagascar. There are no cages in the Bioparc. Barriers are created naturally using rocks, rivers and bridges.

Ikea Val 1

IKEA & Murcia shopping centre

- day trip -

Wednesday 8th November 2017

 

This is always very popular trip so the Travel Group have been asked to organise another shopping trip to Murcia spending the morning in Condomina and the afternoon in Ikea.

This trip offers every opportunity to shop, have lunch and generally relax with friends.  We will leave Moraira at 9am and return by 6:30 pm.

Making Turron

DAY TRIP

To the Turron Factory and

the Chocolate Factory inc. Lunch in Campello

Wednesday 22nd November 2017

We will begin our day with a tour of the Turron Museum and shop in Jijona.

Then we will visit Campello for lunch where you will have a three course meal, which is included in the price of the trip.  The restaurant is opposite Campello's beautiful beach.

 From there we will travel to Villajoyosa for a guided tour of the Valor Chocolate Factory and again we will visit the shop to stock up with chocolate before our return trip to Moraira.

Cathedral

Valencia Day Trip

OVERNIGHT TRIPS

Madrid

- 4 days and 3 nights trip -

 

Tuesday 17th to Friday 20th April 2018

 

This Trip has been arranged for April to take advantage of the clement weather in Madrid. It can be either extremely cold or extremely hot in Madrid. Therefore, this time of the year will give the best opportunity for seeing the sights in comfort - not to mention keeping the costs within an acceptable level.

Accommodation in Madrid will be half board including wine and water.   We will be staying at the Hotel Ganivet in the centre of the city. On our way to Madrid we will visit Aranjuez for lunch. As an option extra you can visit the Royal Palace.

Cost per person  €375

depending on the number of people taking part.

Single room supplement: €75.

Optional extras on this trip include: Entrance to the Escorial with Guide and Entrance to the Palace at Aranjuez with guide.  The price depends on the number of people wishing to go to either of these venues.

Córdoba & Granada

 

Monday 14th to Friday 18th May 2018

(5 days, 4 nights)

 This trip is scheduled to take place the day after the Court Yard Festival ends in Cordoba to ensure our hotel is available at a sensible price. Some of the court yards will still be open.

 Accommodation for 3 nights: B&B in a 3* hotel in a central position opposite the Mezquita. On arrival in Cordoba it is necessary to make a short flat walk (approximately 10 to 15 minutes) over the Roman Bridge to the hotel. Luggage is transported to the hotel by luggage vans and the same will apply on our departure from Cordoba.  Accommodation for 1 night: half board in a 4* hotel near the Alhambra.

 Cost per person €395

depending on the number of people taking part.

Single room supplement: €95.

Cost includes Guided tours and Gala Dinner

Trip to Cofrentes and

Alcala del Jucar

Tuesday 22nd to Thursday 24th May 2018

3 days, 2 nights

On this trip we will be staying in a three star hotel in Jalance approximately five to ten minutes drive from the town of Cofrentes which is on the Jucar River.  Our accommodation will be on a full board basis. Cost will include Boat Trip & excursion on the Tren Turistica.

Cost per person €200

depending on the number of people taking part.

Single supplement will be €42

The cost will include Full Board at a three star hotel

Galicia inc. Vigo & Santiago

1st to the 8th October 2018

-         8 days, 7 nights    -

On this Trip we will be visiting Chinchon, Segovia, Astorga, Lugo, Santiago, Vigo and O Grove for the Galicia Fish Festival.   The trip will include 2 nights in Segovia, 2 nights in Lugo, 2 nights in O Grove and 1 night in Santiago before flying to Alicante on the last day. All the hotels on this trip will be on a half board basis and include wine and water with the evening meal.

Cost per person €705

depending on the number of people taking part and the cost of the flight at the time of booking.

Single room supplement: €125.

 At the moment we have based prices on the flights available this year but when the schedule is released we may have to pay more, therefore, we will have to charge a surcharge to cover the difference.

To secure a place, please pay a deposit of  €100 per person at the Travel Desk at the next general meeting.

Saturday 26th January Bus transfer to Madrid for an overnight flight to Singapore

Saturday 9th March

Flight arrives in Madrid at 1240 followed by a bus transfer to Moraira.

The cost of the trip will be approximately €6,000 to €7,000 to be confirmed subject to supplier providing quotes

To secure a place on this trip, please pay a deposit of €1,000  at the Travel Desk at the next general meeting.

There are several reasons why price of the trip is approximate:

The prices quoted for hotels and entrance fees are the 2018 prices. There is likely
to be a small increase in the 2019 prices.

The cost of the flights was calculated using the prices quoted for flights on the
equivalent dates in January to March 2018. We will not know the exact price until
we book the flights for 2019 in March or April next year.

The price for the tour of New Zealand was quoted in New Zealand dollars. The current exchange rate was used in  calculating the cost of the trip. The exchange rate when we make the final payments is likely to be different.

We will not be able to confirm the bookings at the stopover hotels until after the flights are booked. Changes to the 2019 flight schedules could require changes to
the details of the stopovers.
The price includes:
• Pick-ups and transfers, as specified, by private vehicle with an experienced, safe driver
• Sightseeing with experienced local guides as indicated in the itinerary
• All breakfasts and some lunches as indicated in the itinerary
• Entrance fees according to the itinerary
• VAT and all taxes
The price excludes:
• Personal travel and health insurance
• Tips
