A majority of posts on our site concern events taking place on a specific date. Once the event has taken place, these posts are no longer needed and should be removed, to avoid cluttering up the main page.

How does it work?
When creating or editing a post, you will find this box at the bottom of the screen:

You should enable the scheduler, then click on the “Expiration date and hour” to select a date and time when the post will be archived by changing its status from “Published” to “Pending review”. For the expiry time, it’s good to select 23:59:00 on the day the event finishes, to avoid removing the post prematurely.
Make sure  that you publish or update the page.
This feature will give us a front page free from the clutter of obsolete posts.
