Classic Films is a sub-group of the Film group. Its purpose is to show classic and special interest films on a monthly basis. The Film group tends to choose a wide spectrum of English speaking films each season based on acclaim, quality of the actors and overall enjoyment potential. There are, however, special classic and less well known films, along the line of older classics (such as Casablanca, which was shown to about 70 by the Film group last season) or the more obscure modern films. As the audience size is likely to be smaller, a discussion period after the film may be possible.
The group leader sends a reminder by e-mail, with concise information about the film the Saturday preceding each showing. You can join the mailing list by sending a message to the group leaders Trevor Kemp by email: firstname.lastname@example.org
