Discounts for U3A members

Additions to the list of stores and services below depends almost entirely on members negotiating and informing us of them. Please note that in order to provide members with information of worthwhile discounts, there is now a policy of only listing offers of at least 5% off normal charges.

You must be a fully paid-up member of the Moraira-Teulada U3A to obtain these discounts and your current Membership Card will be requested, and must be shown, before any order is placed. It is often impossible for companies to refund money once items have been ordered.

• Alicante Airport
  Alicante-parking is the nearest off-site parking facility to the airport. The price includes a shuttle bus service to and from the terminals, and the parking facility has illumination and CCTV security. For details, see their website at http://www.alicante-parking.com/. They will give a 15% year-round discount to U3A members.   This is a family business run by a young couple Rachel & Chris who come recommended by one of our members. They deliver to your home films on DVD and box sets of TV series (which you can choose from their website or from the selection which Rachel carries in her vehicle). You keep the DVDs for one week and on the same day each week Rachel calls to collect them and drop off any new ones you have ordered. They charge €3 euros per DVD. What they are offering U3A members is every 10th disc free. This represents a saving of €3 euros for every €27 spent - i.e. just over 10% discount.   Savings to U3A members are in excess of 10% off normal monthly premiums.
  There are no excesses on the policy for U3A members. This means that for each treatment and/or visit there is nothing to pay (normal excesses are from 1 euro - 8 euros), the only exception being psychology at 8 euros per time.
  All policies are in English and include travel health insurance (should illness or accident occur whilst travelling abroad) and there is a dedicated English speaking department for contact.

  The discount to U3A members depends on the size of the pool. Normal charge for a 8 x 4 pool is 720 euros per year. As a special rate for U3A members the charge is 600 euros per year or 50 euros per month (which is over 16% off). A 10 x 5 pool is normally 780 euros per year and the special rate for U3A members is 660 euros per year or 55 euros per month (which is over 15% discount).
