ALICANTE – Wednesday 22nd January 2020
An Afternoon/Evening Trip – Cost €18.00
Trip Leader Malcolm Burman and Lynn Clark
The trip is designed to savour the atmosphere of Alicante, rather than passing by. Alicante is a town of hidden nooks and crannies, a wide range of galleries and museums plus a lively nightlife. And for those that like to shop there are many of them too.
The trip will depart from Moraira midday arriving in Alicante, near the port area, in time for lunch, drink or a snack.
We have organised a local guide to take us on a walking tour of the old town. Afterwards, visit one of the galleries/museums, take a trip up to the castle (accessed by lift from the beach road) or just walk around the local shops.
After it gets dark, we will meet again in the town hall square in the central area and will supply a map of the old town showing suggested places to eat or drink. why not have a tapas tour around the old town. There are dozens of tapas bars and small restaurants situated in the pedestrian alleyways around the cathedral. A lot of the places are quite small and would not fit a party of 50 (some would be hard pressed to seat a party of 10!). You can choose from smart and trendy or small and traditional.
The coach will leave Alicante at 22.00, arriving back at Moraira around 23.30.
Cost €18 per person: This includes transport and the tour guide plus local map, but excludes food and drink and any entrance fees.
Cost of this Trip: €18.00
