David & Eleen have taken over the administration of this group (September 2011) and it is now being run slightly differently.
The Group was formed to enable members to meet and eat out together, to sample different cuisines and restaurants in the greater Moraira/Teulada area and to make new friends with similar interests.
Five couples are taking it in turns to host the 2 groups which meet on the 2nd and the 4th Tuesday of each month. Whoever is hosting will organise the meal out at the same restaurant on both Tuesdays of the month.
The 2nd Tuesday of the month group is called the ALICANTE group, and the 4th Tuesday group is called the BARCELONA group.
The different venues are selected based on recommendations and details are emailed to all members of the group well in advance.
Members are free to decide whether or not they wish to attend a particular venue, but they MUST inform the Group Leaders as to whether they intend to attend so that final numbers can be given to the restaurant.
Selected restaurants have a Menú del Día available for approximately 15 to 20 euros incl. IVA to include a starter, selection of main courses, sweet or coffee and a beverage with the meal (wine, beer or soda). A gratuity of about 10% will also be collected.
Members who had joined the previous Dining Out Group need to re-join this group and details of the venue and menu will be sent out 2 / 3 weeks prior to the meal to ascertain numbers..
