Group Organisers: Chris & John Parsons
We have taken on the running of the Gardening Group and we're looking forward to many and varied activities for all lovers of gardens and the countryside.
If you enjoy gardening and growing all kinds of flowers, cacti, fruit and vegetables and would like to get acquainted with others who feel the same way then join the U3A Gardening Group.
Our plans incude:
- discovering what grows best here in Spain
- how best to prune
- how to fertilize
- how to keep the moisture in your kind of soil
- enjoying visiting other gardens (both public and private)
- benefiting from the experience of experts
- getting tips and new ideas for outdoor planting to compliment your garden
- getting together with other garden lovers
- arranging plant swaps
- compiling a list of recommended suppliers and services of gardening needs
- taking planned trips to gardens that have a special interest
- following the orange and almond trails in Spring
- gathering together for a few lunches!
The Gardening Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month unless the day clashes with a fiesta. Meetings will generally start at 10.30am
