With the Christmas and New Year festivities well and truly over, The Dining Out Group held their first dining event of 2019 at the Javea Golf Club on the 8th January.
The forty eight diners enjoyed a glass of cava before sitting down to enjoy their meals. Restaurant manager Jose Manolo had devised an interesting and varied menu with a Spanish twist, starting with a couple of hot canapés to whet the appetite. The tower of scrambled egg, bacon and mushroom, topped with a cherry tomato and a wafer thin toasted bread slice was a delicious and popular starter. The slow roasted lamb and the beef meatballs were also highly praised as were the desserts of apple strudel, and lemon sorbet with lemon mousse.
All in all the diners had a very enjoyable, convivial evening with good food, and conversation with some they knew, and some they didn’t, which is what the group is all about. Many diners had previously thought that the restaurant was open only to Javea Golf Club members, but that is not the case. Anyone can use the restaurant, which is open daily from 9.00 am to 9.00pm.
