Bright sun and bitter wind greeted 54 Chicas at El Chamizo, right on the coast above the waves of Platges beach going south out of Moraira. But a warm welcome awaited inside the restaurant as the team greeted us, allocated tables and took payment, and Andy cheerfully dispensed the cava. Tables were configured in fours and sixes which make an interesting change. The meal was delicious, with the melt-in-your-mouth beef carpaccio and the salmon starters, and the chicken and hake main courses, being especially popular. There were a few blips – a couple of chicken dishes and tiramisus being too cold, and one table in full sun being too hot, but overall a large roomful of ladies had a great time and went home very happy, which is the whole ethos of the Chicas. Once again our grateful thanks to Lynn and her team for organising another excellent event.
