Dining Out Group at Ca Pepe March 2015

Both cohorts of the Dining Out group visited Ca Pepe in March, this time only a week apart. The second group got decimated by this awful bug going around, but an SOS email from David soon filled the eight cancelled spaces.
Ca Pepe is tucked away in Calle Haya, well worth seeking out as the food is always very good, and the menu changes frequently. Owners Alan and Sonia are now in their fourth year here and have established a well deserved excellent reputation. Our groups chose from four different starters including broccoli and blue cheese soup, goat´s cheese salad, cumin spiced meatballs and Thai fishcakes. The only complaints I heard was one person saying the fishcakes were a little too spicy, and another said not quite spicy enough, so I guess they were about right! Four choices of main course followed, then dessert. A very nice touch is half bottles of wine in little carafes for people who want different colours, included in the 22.50 euro price. All the diners expressed themselves very happy with the food and service, another enjoyable evening, thank you to our hosts David and Eileen.
