Our first U3A Moraira-Teulada trip went very well. Fifty people went to Cuenca and against all predictions enjoyed a walking tour of the old town in brilliant sunshine. The Torreoria bodega tour in Requena on the way there was fascinating and followed by very enthusiastic wine sampling.
On our second day the rain arrived, but it slackened off enough for the bravest half to walk round the Ciudad Encantada, enchanted city, an area of amazing limestone rock formations to the north of Cuenca. Once we were safely tucked on to the coach the rain worsened and continued until we arrived back in Moraira in the evening, very lucky.
