On the day there were 51 people which is a tremendous response and I am sure everyone was delighted that they made the trip by coach to Alicante and not have to worry about parking and traffic snares.
For anyone not familiar with Cirque du Soleil let me explain that it is nothing like your conventional circus and you would be hard pressed to see a lion, tiger or any live animal performing on stage, probably the only comparison is that you will be seated in a marquee. |
What you will see is a theatrical procession of poetic characters and graceful, skilled acrobats. As members of the audience, we were plunged into a theatrical world of fun and comedy set in a fantasy space between heaven and earth. At times, well for most of the show, our eyes darted from one side of the stage to the other not knowing what to watch next as there was so much choice. |
Since the conception of Cirque du Soleil, the company has constantly sought to evoke the imaginations of its audience and it certainly did for us that night.
I went as a paying guest whilst visiting Moraira from my home in Mijas, Costa del Sol. As I am intending to move permanently to Moraira I would certainly become a member of U3A if all your trips are as well organized as this one. Thank you for asking me along. |
