Could the ladies luncheon at Satari’s have been any more superb? If so, I for one, would certainly like to know how. The congenial owner and chef extraordinaire, Abi, catered to every whim and culinary fancy, ensuring each lady had a memorable, not to mention delicious, visit.
Thirst quenching sangria was served with delightful canapés on the intimate patio, allowing everyone to relax and either seek out old friends, or make new ones. With vibrant bougainvillea surrounding us in Mediterranean beauty, even the weather cooperated with Abi and his helpful staff to make our day perfect.
Luncheon was served indoors, with each of us having chosen a coloured stick to assign random seating once again. This method affords all of us to enjoy getting to know one another better and expand our network of friendships.
The food itself was colourful, fragrant, fresh, delectable and beautifully presented. I’m able to vouch for both the Smoked Salmon Salad and the Asian Chicken in it’s charming poppadum basket. Both dishes were extremely flavoursome and a delight to the eye as well as the palate. Judging from the divine aroma wafting from nearby plates, the Baked Salmon and Mushroom Wellington was heavenly.
The Soup and Goats cheese starters seemed well received, and the Chicken and Vegetable Paella was a glorious photographic opportunity. I’m sure it tasted as fantastic as it looked. Several women remarked that they might have made the wrong choice upon seeing that work of gastronomic artistry. I think all of us were pleased with our choices, though.
Abi made a simple thing like fresh fruit into an occasion, arranging the mouth- watering, succulent pieces of fruit into an inspired design which added to the dining experience. As always, the Toasted homemade marshmallow with poached sweet chilli pineapple was a celebration of flavour exploding on the tongue, while the Bailley’s Brule ensured every taste was catered for. Simply magnifique!
Our organisers are to be lauded and applauded for their choice of venue and for all the ways they ensure the group thrives. Thank you, Lynn, Shirley, and Elaine for making this recent outing such a tremendous treat for one and all. And thank you, Abi, for a dining experience that will long be remembered and treasured.
