Spanish Culture and Cuisine – Helpers meeting 16th April 5p.m.

The Spanish Culture and Cuisine group had their first very successful event with a guided walk around Benissa.  We are now looking for a small team of people to come up with ideas and plan other events and to work with the Travel Group and other U3A groups to ensure that dates of events, etc. do not clash.

The ideas are endless, anything with a Spanish theme, be it meals, Olive  oil production, bodega visits,  local fiestas, local history, guided walks, Spanish music and dance, tapas, Spanish Culture in different ways etc. In lots of cases we could tie this in with existing groups, like travel, music, walking, history, art, films, culture etc.

If we had a team of people with an administrator, it shouldn’t amount to too much work for any one person.
Initially I am suggesting a meeting so we can see where are strengths lie and then split into separate smaller groups to arrange different events and check that nothing clashes.  We will also need one person to do all the admin.
Our first meeting is on Wednesday 16th at 5p.m. at Los Leones, Sol Park, hopefully on the terrace outside the restaurant.
Please let me know if you can attend or email me if you want to discuss this further.
I look forward to hearing from you. Shirley Baehr Group Coordinator
