Tuesday 13th May

08.00 hrs: Departure from outside of the Wok (opposite La Senieta), Moraira.

08.30 hrs: 2nd pick up from Interiors, Javea Port.

10.30 hrs: Coffee break

11.00 hrs: Continue to Tortosa

Angela113.00 hrs: Arrival in Tortosa and check into the 3* Hotel Berenguer (b&b). You will then have free time for lunch or perhaps a visit to the Castillo de La Zuda which has been converted into a Parador Hotel (however, the walk up from the town has been described as “long and arduous for those past the first flush of youth”, hence it has not been included in our guided visit!).

16.00 hrs:Departure from our hotel for a 2½ hours guided walking tour of Tortosa (which will include the Cathedral of Santa Maria, the Royal Colleges and the Bishop’s Palace). Free evening

Wednesday 14th May

08.00 hrs: Breakfast

Angela209.00 hrs: Departure for Cavas Freixenet at Sant Sadurni d’Anoia

11.00 hrs: Audio-visual presentation, visit to the cellars, a miniature train tour and tasting of different cavas.

13.00 hrs: We will then travel on to Montserrat for a 2 night stay at the 3* Hotel Abat Cisneros (½ board).

14.00 hrs: Approximate arrival and check in.

The hotel’s location at the heart of the sanctuary, near the basilica, provides magnificent views of the mountain and the Llobregat Valley. Rest of the afternoon free (perhaps take the Funicular to visit the famous Santa Cova cave, or the Funicular de Sant Joan which will take you further up the Montserrat Mountain for fantastic views.)

20.00 hrs: Dinner in the restaurant at Hotel Abat Cisneros (set regional menu for the group).

Thursday 15th May

08.00 hrs: Breakfast

09.00 hrs: Everyone will receive a ticket “Montserrat All Day”, which includes:

  •  Entrance to the Audio-visual Museum
  •  Tasting of typical liquors from Montserrat
  •  Visit to the Museum of Montserrat
  •  Visit to the Basilica and the throne of the Virgin
  •  Singing of the “Escolania” (boys’ choir)
  •  Set menu in Restaurant Montserrat

20.00 hrs: Dinner in the restaurant at Hotel Abat Cisneros (set regional menu for the group).

Friday 16th May

07.30 hrs: Breakfast

08.30 hrs: Departure from hotel for our return journey to Javea.Angela4

11.30 hrs: We will stop at Vinaròs, famous for its king prawns, seafood and paella, where there will be free time to enjoy refreshments in one of the restaurants on the seafront.

13.30 hrs: Depart for Javea with a comfort stop en route.

 

17.15 hrs: Estimated time of arrival at Interiors, Javea Port.

17.45 hrs: Estimated time of arrival at the Wok, opposite La Senieta, Moraira.

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU HAVE TRAVEL INSURANCE. PAYMENTS ARE RECEIVED BY THE TRAVEL GROUP ON A NON-REFUNDABLE BASIS UNLESS THE TRAVEL GROUP CANCELS THE TRIP DUE TO LACK OF INTEREST OR THE TRAVEL GROUP IS ABLE TO FIND A REPLACEMENT.
