ALBAIDA & BOCAIRENT
27th April 2016
Leaders: Anne Cattle & Carol Mantle
Cost 30€ per person including entrance to the puppet museum in Albaida, guided tour around Bocairent and three course lunch.
Our first stop on this trip will be in the lovely village of Albaida where we will visit the highly ornate church and the puppet museum. The puppet museum is very interesting with puppets from throughout the world.
In Bocairent we meet our guide Mateu who will give us a guided tour of the old cobbled town including visiting the ice cave which is on the outskirts of the village in beautiful countryside.
We will then visit the old Bocairent station which has been transformed into a fantastic restaurant set in lovely grounds where we will have a three course lunch including half a bottle of wine.
After lunch we will visit the bullring which is the oldest in Valencia and is carved out of the natural rock. We are even able to visit behind the scenes into the dressing rooms of the matadors and where they kept the bulls before entering the ring.
We have organised this trip before and it is always very popular and well appreciated so put your names down quickly.
