Wine Group Christmas Lunch – 4th December 2025

On 4th December, 50 members of our U3A Wine Tasting Group celebrated their final event of 2025 with a festive Christmas lunch at the Olive Tree Restaurant in Moraira.

The afternoon began with a cava reception, followed by a choice of starters: soup, paté, prawn cocktail or Camembert bites. Main courses included turkey, beef or salmon, each served with roast and mashed potatoes, honey-glazed roasted parsnips, carrots, Brussels sprouts, red cabbage with a red wine reduction, and a Yorkshire pudding. For dessert, diners could choose from a lemon and passion fruit posset, white chocolate cheesecake, traditional Christmas pudding, chocolate brownie or a liqueur coffee. All of this was washed down with a choice of vino blanco, rosado or tinto.

Wine Group funds provided a good selection of free raffle prizes, gladly received by the lucky winners.

Overall, the afternoon was most enjoyable and a great success (as you can see from the photos below), with jovial company and wonderful food & excellent service by Harvey and his team.
