This proposal by Annesley Sinclair is for a small group of no more than 10-12 people, so that allowing for occasional absences, the meetings would be attended by around 8 people.
- Larger groups make it difficult for seating purposes and often participants at the ends cannot follow the conversations.
- All nationalities would be more than welcome, helping to provide for differing experiences and opinions.
The group would be for discussions on a wide variety of topics, respect and patience always being shown for other participants.
The person who presented the topic would then initiate the discussion with a fairly brief introduction and then others would add their thoughts.
Meetings would be held every 2 weeks at a venue that has easy access and parking, and where participants can enjoy a coffee or glass of wine, and maybe also a bite to eat. Ideas for a sutiable venue wil be gratefully received.
Sessions would be for a maximum of 2 hours, preferably between 2-5 pm as this leaves mornings free to attend to other matters i.e. banks, shopping, medical appointments etc.
Topics are proposed by the different participants and either one is chosen by the group or selected by the group leader.
The topics themselves can be on any subject.
