Dining Out group meet at La Cumbre for lunch – April

On April 15th the Dining Out group met for a lunchtime event at the always popular La Cumbre Restaurant in Benitachell, with its lovely views over the sea through the restaurant windows.

Eloy, Celia and their team produced, as always, an excellent meal for us, beautifully presented. After a welcome glass of cava, five varied tapas, including Millefeuille, spring salad, croquettes, stuffed cabbage and potato crisps with tuna flakes were served for all to share.

A lemon and champagne sorbet cleaned the palette during a pause before very different choices of 5 main courses. The roast lamb, Asia style prawns, and grilled corvina fillet were particularly popular and very tasty choices. Three delicious desserts rounded off an excellent meal. As always at Dining Out group events a half bottle of wine per person or softer drinks were included.

Many thanks go to Hilary and Stewart Wass for organising a very enjoyable and successful lunchtime event, with diners lingering and chatting well into the afternoon.
