Discounts for U3A members

Additions to the list of stores and services below depend almost entirely on members negotiating and informing us of them. Please note that in order to provide members with information of worthwhile discounts, there is now a policy of only listing offers of at least 5% off normal charges.

 If you are a local business or service provider and would like to have a notice placed on this page, please contact Jayne Wintle using the form at the bottom of this page.
Members can also contact Jayne if they wish to share feedback about any of the services listed in the directory.

 

Disclaimer:
  1. You must be a fully paid-up member of the Moraira-Teulada U3A to obtain these discounts and your current membership card will be requested, and must be shown, before any order is placed.
  2. U3A cannot vouch for the professional or trade qualifications of suppliers.
  3. The fact that a supplier of goods or services appears in this list does not mean that they are recommended or endorsed by the committee. They are listed solely because they are offering a discount to U3A members.
  4. Neither the Committee or the person in charge of the discounts area, accept any responsibility for problems that may occur with the purchase of any product or service and Moraira-Teulada U3A shall not be held liable for any such problems. However, any complaints received from members will be investigated and, if the supplier is found to be at fault, that supplier may be removed from the list.
  5. It is often impossible for companies to refund money once items have been ordered.
All the services and businesses offering us discounts are currently being contacted by Committee Member Raymond Guise-Smith to ascertain whether they are still in existence and are still providing us with their stated discount. If you notice items missing from this page that were previously included, it is because those businesses have either closed down or did not reply to our enquiries.

Business Description

Offers translation (including written) for doctor/hospital visits, or help with administration at Town Halls, Trafico etc. She is fluent in English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch and is familiar with the local community and its customs.

Normal rate is 25 euros per hour, discounted to 20 euros for U3A members (i.e. 20% discount). This includes her travel expenses. A further discount can be given, if she does not use her own transport. Personally recommended by one of our members.
