DESCRIPTION:Step back in time\, sip a little golden magic\, and stroll through 3\,000 years of history in one of Spain’s most fascinating coastal cities. \n\n\n\nDay 1 – Tuesday 31st March – On the Road to History\n\n\n\n• Departure by bus from Moraira with a relaxing coffee stop en route;• Arrival in Cartagena around 12\, leave luggage in at the elegant Hotel Sercotel Alfonso XIII and enjoy a free afternoon for lunch\, check in to the hotel at 16.00• Evening free to explore local restaurants & tapas bars \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay 2 – Wednesday 1st April – Walking Through 3\,000 Years\n\n\n\nAfter breakfast\, enjoy a 3.5-hour guided tour through Cartagena’s treasures: \n\n\n\n\nPort of Cartagena – where the city’s history began\n\n\n\nPlaza del Ayuntamiento & Plaza de San Francisco – charming squares full of life\n\n\n\nRide the Panoramic Lift for sweeping city views\n\n\n\nStep inside the Roman Theatre (entrance included) – one of Spain’s most stunning ancient sites\n\n\n\nDiscover the Ancient Roman Forum & Maestre Palace\n\n\n\n\nMarvel at Cartagena’s Modernist jewels: Gran Hotel\, Casa Cervantes\, Casa Llagostera & the elegant Casino (exteriors only)Afternoon: Free time for a leisurely lunch and your own discoveries. Maybe enjoy seaside dining\, a harbor walk\, or some boutique shopping \n\n\n\nIn the afternoon The Holy Wednesday Procession starts at about 5pm and is a very important event during Holy Week. It is led by the California Brotherhood with the procession of the Holy Christ of the Arrest.  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nDay 3 – Thursday 2nd April – Golden Spirit of Cartagena\n\n\n\nLeisurely breakfast at the hotel \n\n\n\nThere is free time after check out.
