Ernest Shackleton and his ship The Endurance

We probably all learned about Shackleton at school, but just the basics.  Who was he?  Was he a hero or foolhardy?  Why the antagonism between him and Scott?  Funny and interesting facts about his crew.   The talk will be followed by the actual film footage from the Endurance.  This records the ice pack starting to break up the ship and the miraculous escape.
