February Dining Out at Attico Restaurant

The Attico Restaurant at Javea Port, with its stunning views to the Arenal, is always popular with our Dining Out group and the event in February was fully booked for 56 diners within a day of the invitations being sent out.

The evening was a delight. The team of chefs and servers led by Luz and Louisa excelled with a delicious and varied choice of dishes for us.

After a welcoming glass of cava, there were 3 different starter dishes for each diner, comprising a smoked salmon cod and feta cheese salad, camembert cheese bags with blueberry jam, and skewers of tenderloin pork, chorizo and pineapple. All were delicious and after finishing all those a short pause was needed after the sorbet before tackling the main courses.

Which were also excellent, with a choice of 2 fish dishes or 3 meats for the carnivores. The filets of sea bass with a wonderful leek and prawn sauce was a very big success and the and oven roasted lamb with rosemary and honey was very popular too.

For those still with room to spare, a dessert of chocolate cake or a coffee mousse rounded the evening off or just a coffee for those who were already full from the first two courses.

The event was hosted by John and Meri Snell, and judging from the comments from the diners at the end of the evening it was a big success.

The Attico has a deserved reputation for consistently delivering excellent food and service at a very reasonable cost, and they did just that for our diners. If you haven’t been there yet you are missing a treat!
