Film Title: Darkest Hour

A thrilling and inspiring true story begins at the precipice of World War II as Adolf Hitler’s awesomely powerful Wehrmacht rampages across Europe, and the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Neville Chamberlain, is forced to resign, recommending Winston Churchill as his replacement. But within days of becoming the country’s leader, Churchill (played by Gary Oldman) must face one of his most turbulent and defining trials: bow to pressure to explore a negotiated peace treaty with Nazi Germany, or stand firm to fight for the ideals, liberty and freedom of a nation against the seemingly invincible German army, whatever the cost. The fate of Western Europe hangs on Churchill, who must decide, knowing that it could mean a humiliating defeat for Britain and its empire. With the threat of invasion imminent, an unprepared public, a sceptical King, and his own party plotting against him, Churchill must withstand his darkest hour, rally a nation, and attempt to change the course of world history.
