The ladies of the Knit and Natter Group were very busy in 2025. They made lots of different things for various charities.
Projet4All asked for scarves, so we knitted a dozen and sent them along. Toys and cardigans were made for the children of Make A Smile and premature baby jackets and bootees went to the hospital. Two members have made pocket toys for the small children who have vaccinations at the Health Centre and need comfort.
We produced 30 blankets, so we needed to find a charity to use them. Through a friend, we heard that the Ukranian Group in Denia were able to send warm clothes to the homeless and needy in the war zone. They were delighted to receive the blankets, which were sent to keep soldiers and orphaned children warm, in their cold winter.
We are a small, friendly group who meet twice a month on the second and fourth Tuesday at 2.30, until 4.30, in one another’s homes. Would you like to join us? Can you knit, sew or crochet? Come and have a relaxing afternoon with us.
