Phew!! What a scorcher. 43 Chica’s enjoyed a fabulous meal at our last venue before the summer break.
When Lynn and Dot did a reccie we decided to choose outside dining for the fabulous views and that particular day there was a lovely breeze. Not so on the day of the lunch and several Chica’s suffered a bit from the heat; however, this did not stop the compliments about the meal and the company.
One Chica remarked WAW – women are wonderful!! Pretty well sums it up.
After our usual Cava welcome we were served attentively by the lovely waiters and for anyone who hasn’t visited this restaurant you will be amazed at the selection and quality of assorted tapas that are served as starters. Very filling…. but not compulsory to finish!!
We had a choice of Lamb, Pork, Sea Bass or Snapper as our mains and everyone enjoyed their choices. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the Snapper that was served in a light tempura batter on a small portion of lightly fried potatoes and pea puree – indeed the poshest fish, chips and mushy peas I have ever had!
Desserts were Rumbaba in chocolate sauce, Coffee sorbet or Cheese custard, imaginatively served and delicious. The wine was plentiful and coffee was included and it must be noted that this is indeed fantastic value for money for a fine dining restaurant.
See you all in September and have a great summer.
