Review for the U3A Dining out group November 2013

On Tuesday 19th November both dining out groups met at the Gemisant Restaurant for a truly wonderful evening. Eileen and David Haxon spent many hours arranging this evening for us all, and we can tell you now it was certainly worth it. Everything went well. The evening started with Cava for everyone, tapas that seemed to go on and on, followed by our main course and dessert, with wine and water flowing. The restaurant did really well managing to get all 94 people served, and from what we could see and hear everyone enjoyed the meal. Then the music started. We should have had Barry Peters playing and singing for us, but he was not too well; however, he still came and joined in quite a bit with his friend Derick helping him out. Nearly all were up on their feet dancing until the end of the evening. So, all in all, the evening was a great success and we hope Eileen and David will be doing the same thing for us next year. Congratulations to you both.
