About Laura
Originally from England, after a BA(Hons) degree in French, Spanish and Italian, I qualified as a secondary school language teacher in Spain and England, and have spent almost half of my life here. My love of Spain, its culture, people and languages started as a child and continues to grow.
I am delighted to return to the U3A Moraira-Teulada, where I taught for several years, before taking a break due to work commitments in my role as Town Councillor at our local Teulada Town Hall.
I have enjoyed teaching Spanish at all levels from Beginners to Post A-Level to students from 4 to 74, and firmly believe that ANYONE CAN LEARN AND SPEAK A LANGUAGE!
I am currently specializing in Beginners Spanish, concentrating on the basics of Spanish conversation with the focus being on communication in everyday situations, such as meeting people, shopping and Dr’s appointments.
This will be a small group, and I hope to be able to offer further levels after Christmas.
