Wine Group Summer Meal – June 2025

Like a bunch of kids with the summer holidays nearing, the Moraira-Teulada U3A wine tasting group met up on Thursday 12th June for the finale to another successful tasting season.

A boisterous  crowd of 70 packed out the terrace at Restaurant  Al Mar with its magnificent sea views for their ‘end of term’ dinner.

It was organised by hardworking group leaders Pat and Brian Clarke and Brian thanked everyone for their support throughout  the season. Looking towards the autumn he said ; “Next season you are going to have to start all over again.”

The start will be in September,  but the final details remain a mystery so far.

Owner Lu and his team looked after us , albeit after a somewhat delayed start. There was the odd complaint but life is far too short to get het up about such minor things and a good night was had by the vast majority.

The menu was varied enough to cover virtually all tastes and the standard of food was excellent.
