Your U3A website is evolving

Our redesigned website is nearly one year old – and it’s evolving, to avoid getting stale. We’ve been busy redesigning and adding some new features, to respond to our users’ requests and feedback.

1. The Groups page

Has been redesigned to make it easier to find the groups you may be interested in. Instead of a line of text and a link, you have a longer description and a picture, which should help you decide whether you are interested in finding out more about a group:

2. Simplified main menu

Let’s face it, the main menu was getting cluttered up. So we pruned it somewhat, moving content which was less used out of the way, so that it’s easier to find just what you are looking for. And if you can’t find it in the main menu, try the search box.

3. Breadcrumbs

At the top of each post you used to see useful information showing when posted, author and categories:

However, it’s probably more interesting to see a link (breadcrumbs), which, when clicked, will take you back to the previous page(s):

4. Related stories

When you finish reading a post, you will find some related stories, in case you are interested in further reading on the subject

And, to quote from our upcoming Drama Group show: “wait for it, wait for it, more to come…”
